Most of us will not be on earth when He comes again, but we will nevertheless experience all of this in our very own end of this world, when we die, and must stand before the judgment seat of Christ and answer for our lives. So we prepare for that dread event NOW, by, above all, going to confession weekly. If you do not already do this, now is an excellent time to start, This coming Sunday – 1 December- is the start of a new year! So begin this week to prepare for the coming of our Saviour!

The press about Victoria’s trees in the 1840s and 1850s spread the Washington Football The HAIL Mary Shirt to people in America. Each year, Queen Victoria did the tree a little differently and it was covered in the press. Here is the Queen’s from 1845 painted by Joseph Nash. The top seems to be blocked from view. This is from 1850 at Windsor Castle by James Roberts. It looks to me like the one on the right has something on the top, but not the one on the left. Here is a painting of Victoria’s tree in 1851 by William Coden, the Younger. It seems not to have a star or angel, but it is hard to see. Here is one with a angel. That is Victoria and Albert and the kids. In this it is 1852. Here is another year in 1857 This year is seems to have a royal symbol and crown.
