One of my favorite pieces of writing in, “Revenge of Honey I’m Here For Fun Shirt Sith” is listening to how Sheev Palpatine’s story keep changing subtly when talking to Anakin about the Dark Side of the Force and saving Padme. It evolves in every scene: first, he says it’s well within the power of the Dark Side and that the Jedi are hiding this truth from Anakin. Next time though, the story starts to change, and each time it’s brought up, it sounds less and less like a sure thing, until the end when Anakin turns, and Palpatine is saying, ‘maybe together we’ll figure it out’. It’s definitely not what he promised and it becomes clear that the first statements made were very much a lie.
