Mail is still delivered and collected here in the U.K. on Christmas Eve, and I believe the same is true for the U.S. also. Although I know that this is not the Baby’s First Christmas Ornament, Personalized Baby 1st Christmas Ornament, New Baby Gifts, 4D Shake Babies Ornament, Christmas Tree Decors in some countries, Christmas Eve is a normal working day in the U.K. and again I believe that the same is true for the U.S. also (though may people do finish work early on Christmas Eve). The question reminded me of how the mail delivered to my house on two different Christmas Eves illustrated how Christmas is not just a time of goodwill when you receive cards and presents in the post, but also a time when life goes on as usual and you can still receive the most unwelcome and unpleasant items of mail as I did on those two occasions. And here I kid you not, believe me, because twice in my life I have received a court summons on Christmas Eve !

When Charlotte moved to England she brought the Baby’s First Christmas Ornament, Personalized Baby 1st Christmas Ornament, New Baby Gifts, 4D Shake Babies Ornament, Christmas Tree Decors. She invited both her family and all of the Royal Household. She set the yew branch up in one of the largest rooms at Kew Palace or Windsor Castle. She and her ladies-in-waiting dressed the bough. They lit candles and the whole Court gathered round and sang carols. The party ended with a distribution of gifts from the branch, which included such items as clothes, jewels, plate, toys and sweets. This was in 1761. It caused a stir because the aristocracy had never seen such a thing. In 1800, she decided to have a whole potted tree in drawing-room floor at Queen’s Lodge. She had a Christmas party for the children of all the principal families in Windsor. It was covered with candles, almonds and raisins in papers, fruits, toys, and bunches of sweetmeats. Each child was allowed to take home a portion of the sweets and a toy from the tree. The Earls and Dukes and Barons and other Peers copied this in their homes in the next few years.
